Speed Bump Installations

To keep roads and car parks safe, careful driving needs to be encouraged and enforced not just in local laws, but in the way we design our roads as well.

Speed bump installation is crucial for this purpose. By installing speed bumps in key areas where they’re needed- such as near pedestrian crossings or in other high-traffic areas- you can keep drivers from recklessly speeding near pedestrians and slower-moving drivers.

At Linear Line Marking we offer a Speed Bump installation service for roads and car parks that comply with Australian safety regulations.

Installing Speed Bumps/Speed Humps

Any driver knows from experience that not all speed bumps are made equally. Some are fairly flat and smooth, while others are more severe and drastic in their design. That’s actually because there’s a difference between speed “bumps” and speed “humps”, and even these have their own subcategories.
Speed humps, the wider, flatter options, have less immediate stopping power for a gentler, more gradual slowdown. Most speed humps are designed to slow a car down to around 24-32 km/h, making them ideal for areas like residential streets.

Speed bumps, on the other hand, are more ridged and have more aggressive stopping power- they’re designed to slow a car down to about 8-16 km/h. Try to clear a speed bump at high speed, and you’ll really risk blowing out a tyre! These are good for when you really need to emphasize slow speed, such as near schools, hospitals, car parks, and other similar areas.

Our speed bumps and humps are brightly-colored, making them visible enough for drivers to identify in time to slow down. We have options in rubber, concrete, plastic, and more, and they’re designed to be highly durable to provide lasting protection without wearing down or breaking. Whatever you need for your project, we’d be happy to provide and install the perfect options for you.
